Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included this untitled work by Kiko Escora. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,953.47). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kiko Escora - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,072.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kiko Escora zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.953,47) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Kiko Escora mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.072,31) versteigert wurde.
