Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ker-Xavier Roussel could be acquired at Sothebys in London in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary Day Auction auction, the work Autoportrait - recto; Deux nymphes auprès d'un arbre - verso changed hands for GBP 11,970.00 (€ 14,191.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ker-Xavier Roussel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Saisons de la vie in October this year with an auction result of EUR 201,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ker-Xavier Roussel konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit Autoportrait - recto; Deux nymphes auprès d'un arbre - verso für GBP 11.970,00 (€ 14.191,78) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ker-Xavier Roussel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Saisons de la vie im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 201.600,00.
