Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Hofkirche Ii, Innsbruck by Kenneth Southworth Davies. The price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 20,665.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kenneth Southworth Davies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Clapboards & Shadows in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 237,500.00 (€ 216,026.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hofkirche Ii, Innsbruck von Kenneth Southworth Davies zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 20.665,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kenneth Southworth Davies erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Clapboards & Shadows im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 237.500,00 (€ 216.026,92).
