Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study For "Assemblage" by Kenneth Southworth Davies was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in February 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,345.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kenneth Southworth Davies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Clapboards & Shadows in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 237,500.00 (€ 216,026.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study For "Assemblage" von Kenneth Southworth Davies wurde im Februar 2013 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.345,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kenneth Southworth Davies erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Clapboards & Shadows im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 237.500,00 (€ 216.026,92).
