The work Twilight Of The Idols V by Kendell Geers was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in October 2014. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,768.56), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Kendell Geers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twilight of the Idols (Virgin Mary) in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 66,500.00 (€ 86,979.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Twilight Of The Idols V von Kendell Geers wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.768,56) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kendell Geers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twilight of the Idols (Virgin Mary) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.500,00 (€ 86.979,39).
