Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mud Lovers by Keith Carter was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2003. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,868.00 (€ 2,660.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Keith Carter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fireflies, which sold at auction in October 2017 for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,438.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mud Lovers von Keith Carter kam im Februar 2003 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.868,00 (€ 2.660,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Keith Carter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fireflies beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.438,87) versteigert wurde.
