Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Shiojiri Pass: View of Lake Suwa (Shiojiri toge, Suwa no kosui chobo) by Keisai Eisen was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,254.37). Admittedly, works by Keisai Eisen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Courtesan in September 2004 with an auction result of USD 23,900.00 (€ 19,247.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Shiojiri Pass: View of Lake Suwa (Shiojiri toge, Suwa no kosui chobo) von Keisai Eisen kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.254,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Keisai Eisen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Courtesan im September 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.900,00 (€ 19.247,81).
