Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Vrouw In Blauw Water (Woman In Blue Water) by Kees van Bohemen for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,165.61). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Kees van Bohemen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch Red Painting in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 50,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Vrouw In Blauw Water (Woman In Blue Water) von Kees van Bohemen für USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.165,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kees van Bohemen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch Red Painting im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.400,00.
