In November 2018 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Racing) by Kees van Bohemen. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,375.00 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Kees van Bohemen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch Red Painting in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 50,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Racing) von Kees van Bohemen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.375,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kees van Bohemen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch Red Painting im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.400,00.
