In September 2009 Christies in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work No Wind, No Birds by Kay Sage. The »bidding war« ended at USD 35,000.00 (€ 23,923.44), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kay Sage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Passage in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,338,500.00 (€ 5,263,644.43).

Im September 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit No Wind, No Birds von Kay Sage zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 23.923,44) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kay Sage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Passage im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.338.500,00 (€ 5.263.644,43).
