This work without title by Kawayan De Guia was worth HKD 162,500.00 (€ 13,378.05) to a buyer in May 2008. This price was achieved in the auction Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kawayan De Guia; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Interior Complex sold at auction in October 2008 with the realized price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,986.36).
