Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Decomposing ancient sadnesssz by Kawayan De Guia. The price achieved of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,557.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kawayan De Guia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Interior Complex, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,986.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Decomposing ancient sadnesssz von Kawayan De Guia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.557,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kawayan De Guia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Interior Complex beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.986,36) versteigert wurde.
