This artwork by Kawayan De Guia achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Interior Complex sold for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,986.36) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. This high result makes Interior Complex the most expensive artwork by Kawayan De Guia that we have observed at auctions so far.
