Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Kawayan De Guia was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 8,719.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Kawayan De Guia have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2008 the work Interior Complex was auctioned for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,986.36).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kawayan De Guia wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 8.719,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Kawayan De Guia konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2008 die Arbeit Interior Complex für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.986,36) versteigert.
