Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Our Father in Heaven (Ama Namin Sumasalangit Ka) by Kawayan De Guia. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 12,396.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Kawayan De Guia have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2008 the work Interior Complex was auctioned for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,986.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Our Father in Heaven (Ama Namin Sumasalangit Ka) von Kawayan De Guia zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 12.396,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Kawayan De Guia konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2008 die Arbeit Interior Complex für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.986,36) versteigert.
