The work Unknown by Katsukawa Shunko was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2005. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,740.59), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Katsukawa Shunko have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unknown in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 10,157.50 (€ 9,318.81).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Unknown von Katsukawa Shunko kam im Juli 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.740,59) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Katsukawa Shunko auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unknown im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.157,50 (€ 9.318,81).
