Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work An Actor Of The Ichikawa Family by Katsukawa Shunko for GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,273.43). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Japanese Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Katsukawa Shunko have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unknown in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 10,157.50 (€ 9,318.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit An Actor Of The Ichikawa Family von Katsukawa Shunko für GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.273,43) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Japanese Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Katsukawa Shunko auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unknown im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.157,50 (€ 9.318,81).
