Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Onsen no asa, Shinshu Nozawa (Morning at the hotspring, Nozawa, Shinano Province), summer 1933 Ame no Shinbashi (Rain at Shinbashi), 1935.2 Hakone Ashinoko no Fuji (Fuji at Lake Ashino, Hakone), 1935.5 by Shiro Kasamatsu. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,280.00 (€ 1,890.86). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shiro Kasamatsu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snow At The Stone Garden (Yuki No Ishiniwa), which sold at auction in November 2019 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,577.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Onsen no asa, Shinshu Nozawa (Morning at the hotspring, Nozawa, Shinano Province), summer 1933 Ame no Shinbashi (Rain at Shinbashi), 1935.2 Hakone Ashinoko no Fuji (Fuji at Lake Ashino, Hakone), 1935.5 von Shiro Kasamatsu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.280,00 (€ 1.890,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Shiro Kasamatsu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snow At The Stone Garden (Yuki No Ishiniwa) beobachtet, die im November 2019 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.577,66) versteigert wurde.
