In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Fine Japanese Art, which included the work Snow At The Stone Garden (Yuki No Ishiniwa) by Shiro Kasamatsu. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,577.66), 19% above the upper estimate. With this result, Snow At The Stone Garden (Yuki No Ishiniwa) is even the most expensive work of art by Shiro Kasamatsu that we have observed at auctions so far.
