Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Meditation Stone by Karl Prantl was sold in the 20th Century to Now auction at Phillips in London in June this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,985.00 (€ 8,129.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Prantl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zur Meditation, which sold at auction in December 2016 for EUR 24,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Meditation Stone von Karl Prantl wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century to Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.985,00 (€ 8.129,34) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Karl Prantl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Zur Meditation beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für EUR 24.800,00 versteigert wurde.
