Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of EUR 9,914.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 24 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Daubigny - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La plage, which sold at auction in October 2006 for USD 36,000.00 (€ 28,184.45).

Die Arbeit Les Graves De Villerville von Karl Daubigny wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Paintings bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 9.914,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 24 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Karl Daubigny mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La plage beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für USD 36.000,00 (€ 28.184,45) versteigert wurde.
