The work Landscape with figure along water's edge by Karl Daubigny was sold in the Living With Art auction at Christies in New York in February 2016. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,370.63), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Karl Daubigny have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La plage in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 28,184.45).

Die Arbeit Landscape with figure along water's edge von Karl Daubigny wurde im Februar 2016 in der Auktion Living With Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.370,63) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karl Daubigny auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La plage im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 28.184,45).
