Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work Boats And Barges In The Thames Estuary by Karl Daubigny. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,793.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Karl Daubigny have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La plage in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 28,184.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boats And Barges In The Thames Estuary von Karl Daubigny zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.793,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karl Daubigny auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La plage im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 28.184,45).
