Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horse And Cart In A River Landscape; Cottage With Geese At Sunset by Karl Heffner was sold in the British & Continental Paintings auction at Sothebys in Olympia in March 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,589.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Heffner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Dutch waterway at dusk, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,238.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Horse And Cart In A River Landscape; Cottage With Geese At Sunset von Karl Heffner wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion British & Continental Paintings bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.589,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Karl Heffner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Dutch waterway at dusk beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.238,11) versteigert wurde.
