Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2000 Christies in New York held the auction American Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Summertime by Karl Albert Buehr. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,800.00 (€ 22,154.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Albert Buehr achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On the Terrace in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 409,000.00 (€ 258,778.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summertime von Karl Albert Buehr zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 22.154,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Albert Buehr erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On the Terrace im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 409.000,00 (€ 258.778,87).
