Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Karin Davie was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,292.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Karin Davie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Psyche in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 54,775.38).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.292,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karin Davie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Psyche im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 54.775,38).
