When the work Untitled (Mother and Child with Attendants) by Kamrul Hasan was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2011, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 2,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than seven times as high at USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,153.25). This high result makes Untitled (Mother and Child with Attendants) the most expensive artwork by Kamrul Hasan that we have observed at auctions so far.
