Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Toilet by Kamrul Hasan was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2015. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,703.46). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kamrul Hasan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Mother and Child with Attendants), which sold at auction in September 2011 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,153.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Toilet von Kamrul Hasan wurde im September 2015 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.703,46) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Kamrul Hasan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Mother and Child with Attendants) beobachtet, die im September 2011 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.153,25) versteigert wurde.
