Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Kamrul Hasan. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,073.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kamrul Hasan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Mother and Child with Attendants), which sold at auction in September 2011 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,153.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kamrul Hasan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.073,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kamrul Hasan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Mother and Child with Attendants) beobachtet, die im September 2011 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.153,25) versteigert wurde.
