Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kader Attia could be acquired at Phillips in London in June 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,005.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kader Attia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ghost in October 2013 with an auction result of GBP 181,875.00 (€ 214,974.81).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Kader Attia konnte im Juni 2016 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 21.005,71) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kader Attia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ghost im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 181.875,00 (€ 214.974,81).
