Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in Cologne held the auction Contemporary Passions, which included the work Camouflage by Kader Attia. The price achieved of EUR 56,700.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kader Attia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ghost, which sold at auction in October 2013 for GBP 181,875.00 (€ 214,974.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in Köln die Auktion Contemporary Passions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Camouflage von Kader Attia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 56.700,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kader Attia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ghost beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für GBP 181.875,00 (€ 214.974,81) versteigert wurde.
