Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Peg Leg by Justin Adian. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,990.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Justin Adian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Non-Site Healing in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 42,209.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peg Leg von Justin Adian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.990,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Justin Adian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Non-Site Healing im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 42.209,36).
