Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Tandem by Justin Adian. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,854.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Justin Adian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Non-Site Healing in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 42,209.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tandem von Justin Adian zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.854,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Justin Adian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Non-Site Healing im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 42.209,36).
