Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lady On A Pink Divan by Julius Leblanc Stewart was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2006. The price achieved of USD 66,000.00 (€ 51,429.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julius Leblanc Stewart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yachting in the Mediterranean in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 2,312,000.00 (€ 1,872,216.37).

Die Arbeit Lady On A Pink Divan von Julius Leblanc Stewart kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 51.429,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julius Leblanc Stewart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yachting in the Mediterranean im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.312.000,00 (€ 1.872.216,37).
