Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of Ina, A Friend of The Artist by Julius Leblanc Stewart was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2006. It achieved a price of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,209.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julius Leblanc Stewart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yachting in the Mediterranean in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 2,312,000.00 (€ 1,872,216.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Ina, A Friend of The Artist von Julius Leblanc Stewart kam im Juni 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.209,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julius Leblanc Stewart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yachting in the Mediterranean im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.312.000,00 (€ 1.872.216,37).
