Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2000 Christies in Los Angeles held the auction California, Western and American Paintings, which included the work In the Boudoir by Julius Leblanc Stewart. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,900.00 (€ 35,270.15). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julius Leblanc Stewart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yachting in the Mediterranean in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 2,312,000.00 (€ 1,872,216.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2000 führte Christies in Los Angeles die Auktion California, Western and American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the Boudoir von Julius Leblanc Stewart zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.900,00 (€ 35.270,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julius Leblanc Stewart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yachting in the Mediterranean im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.312.000,00 (€ 1.872.216,37).
