Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Interesting Letter by Julius Leblanc Stewart was sold in the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in May 2005. It changed hands for a price of USD 144,000.00 (€ 116,608.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julius Leblanc Stewart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yachting in the Mediterranean in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 2,312,000.00 (€ 1,872,216.37).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 116.608,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00.
