In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors - Masters & Makers, which included the work A rural landscape with villagers in horse-drawn carts and farm animals by Julius Caesar Ibbetson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,502.19), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julius Caesar Ibbetson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Ullswater, Cumberland, Taken From Gowbarrow Park; And View of Grasmere, Westmoreland, Taken From White Moss in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 124,493.30).

Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors - Masters & Makers durch, in der auch die Arbeit A rural landscape with villagers in horse-drawn carts and farm animals von Julius Caesar Ibbetson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.502,19) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julius Caesar Ibbetson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of Ullswater, Cumberland, Taken From Gowbarrow Park; And View of Grasmere, Westmoreland, Taken From White Moss im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 124.493,30).
