Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work The Watering Place by Julius Caesar Ibbetson. The price achieved of GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,085.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julius Caesar Ibbetson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Ullswater, Cumberland, Taken From Gowbarrow Park; And View of Grasmere, Westmoreland, Taken From White Moss in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 124,493.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Watering Place von Julius Caesar Ibbetson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.085,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julius Caesar Ibbetson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of Ullswater, Cumberland, Taken From Gowbarrow Park; And View of Grasmere, Westmoreland, Taken From White Moss im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 124.493,30).
