Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paisaje De Bogotá by Julio Alpuy was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,780.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Julio Alpuy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Construcción en madera in September last year with an auction result of USD 81,900.00 (€ 83,716.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Paisaje De Bogotá von Julio Alpuy wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.780,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julio Alpuy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Construcción en madera im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 83.716,65).
