Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 46,875.00 (€ 37,912.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julio Alpuy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Construcción en madera, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 81,900.00 (€ 83,716.65).
