Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jets; Holland; and Les Baux (T. 287; 310; 305) by Julian Trevelyan was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,008.00 (€ 1,147.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Trevelyan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Durham Wharf in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 46,250.00 (€ 54,570.45).
