Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Julian Trevelyan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in June this year. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Thames Ditton sold for GBP 1,408.00 (€ 1,638.67) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Trevelyan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Durham Wharf in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 46,250.00 (€ 54,570.45).
