Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work First Attempted Trans Atlastic Telegraph Cable Crossing by Julian Laverdiere was sold in the Open House auction at Christies in New York in June 2008. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,031.88). Admittedly, works by Julian Laverdiere have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Allied Uranium Miners in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,243.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit First Attempted Trans Atlastic Telegraph Cable Crossing von Julian Laverdiere wurde im Juni 2008 in der Auktion Open House bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.031,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julian Laverdiere auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Allied Uranium Miners im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.400,00 (€ 6.243,96).
