In June 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Interiors: Fine Art Online, which included the work Still Life with Allium and Amber Beads by Julian Alden Weir. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,539.51), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Alden Weir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nassau, Bahamas in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 459,000.00 (€ 393,316.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Interiors: Fine Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life with Allium and Amber Beads von Julian Alden Weir zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.539,51) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julian Alden Weir erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nassau, Bahamas im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 459.000,00 (€ 393.316,20).
