Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Overhanging Trees by Julian Alden Weir. The price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,930.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Alden Weir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nassau, Bahamas in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 459,000.00 (€ 393,316.20).
