Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Still Life With Roses by Julian Alden Weir. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,987.15). Admittedly, works by Julian Alden Weir have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nassau, Bahamas in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 459,000.00 (€ 393,316.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Roses von Julian Alden Weir zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.987,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julian Alden Weir auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nassau, Bahamas im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 459.000,00 (€ 393.316,20).
