Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Julian Alden Weir could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Portrait Of Anna changed hands for USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,926.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Alden Weir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nassau, Bahamas in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 459,000.00 (€ 393,316.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Julian Alden Weir konnte im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Portrait Of Anna für USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.926,21) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00.
