Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Cruciform by Judy Pfaff was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,679.81). Admittedly, works by Judy Pfaff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Holi #11 in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,169.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Cruciform von Judy Pfaff im September 2015 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.679,81) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Judy Pfaff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Holi #11 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.169,96).
