In August 2003 Christies in Sydney held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Girl with Bruegel 2 by Judy Cassab. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 6,462.50 (€ 3,817.73), 62% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Girl with Bruegel 2 the most expensive artwork by Judy Cassab that we have observed at auctions so far.
